 About hearing

A person with normal hearing is capable of hearing the softest of whispers to the roar of a jet taking off. Our sense of hearing allows us to communicate effectively with our loved ones, friends and work colleagues. It also warns us of dangers like oncoming traffic in the street and allows us to also determine the direction that sounds are coming from.

Our hearing enriches our life like no other sense. It has often been called the social or cultural sense, without hearing we easily become isolated.
